  • TYLER E. GOODWIN — Founder and CEO

    Tyler is the Founder and CEO of Seaforth Land. He has 30 years of global real estate experience, including 20 years in Asia working through both the Asian Financial Crisis and the Global Financial Crisis. Tyler has worked in property development, advisory, investment banking, principal investment, and investment management ,and has lived and worked in North America, Asia and Europe. He has a deep knowledge and understanding of sovereign and institutional real estate investors.

    Most recently Tyler was the CEO of Lodha UK, where he was their first hire. Lodha UK was awarded Deal of the Year for their acquisition of One Grosvenor Square at the Property Week Resi Awards 2014. That same year Tyler was ranked #35 in the “Estates Gazette 2014 Power List 50” as one of the 50 most influential people in the UK property industry.

    Prior to Lodha, Tyler was based in Hong Kong and was a Managing Director in JPMorgan’s Global Real Assets business where for over 3 years he was Head of Asian Client Strategy responsible for advising Asia’s largest sovereign and institutional investors on allocation and strategy related to real estate and infrastructure. He has been an investor in both Deutsche Bank’s and JPMorgan’s Real Estate balance sheet investing businesses where he invested in real estate through equity and debt. During his final two years at JPMorgan, Tyler sat on the Asset Management Global Advisory Council, and also sat on the Urban Land Institute’s North Asia Executive Committee 7 years. Prior to this, Tyler spent five years at Urban Land Capital in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Vancouver investing in real estate and private equity and worked in real estate development in Indonesia for seven years.

    Tyler has a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California’s Price School of Public Policy and has been a member of the Price School’s Board of Councillors for 8 years.

  • KURT ROELOFFS — Chairman of the Board

    Kurt is the Founder of Protean Capital, an early-stage venture capital group. Prior to founding Protean, he was the Global Chief Investment Officer of RREEF Alternative Investments, the investment management division of Deutsche Bank responsible for real estate, infrastructure, and private equity investments, where he had oversight of $65 billion of assets under management in over 30 countries in North America, Europe, and Asia. As Chief Investment Officer he engineered, implemented, and supervised an entirely new approach toward RREEF’s investment management philosophy and practice, including its approach toward portfolio construction, transaction execution, risk management and sustainability. Over the course of his career, Kurt has held several senior positions within RREEF / Deutsche Bank including CEO Asia and Managing Director.

    Kurt holds a BA from Columbia University and an MBA from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania.

  • STEPHEN S.S WONG — Non-Executive Director

    Stephen is the Founder of Atelier Capital Partners (ACP), where he serves as Managing Director and is responsible for the overall strategic planning, finance, and operations of ACP’s real estate investments and development across key global gateway cities including Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Vancouver and London. During the early 1990s, he founded and has since served as Managing Director for Edward Wong Development Company Limited.

    In the early 2000s he founded and now serves as Chairman for the Chongbang Group – a Shanghai-based real estate development company with investors including GIC, Ivanhoe Cambridge, and APG.

  • JOHN BAKER — CFO

    John has 28 years of experience in finance, fund structures, regulated investment businesses, client reporting and operations. Prior to Seaforth, John was CFO of Round Hill Capital, a European private equity real estate investor and specialist in student accommodations and the private rented sector. Before that, John was the COO of DTZ Investors where he had a key role in winning new mandates and structuring fund products.

    Previously, John worked at Lazard in both their venture capital business and property investment management businesses. He also spent six years working at Guardian Property, a part of Guardian Royal Exchange plc. As well as his real estate experience, John has worked as an investment director in two venture capital firms where he was involved in assessing new investments, making investments, and working with the management teams as a non-executive director.

    John is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales. He earned is bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Management from London University and earned his MBA from London Business School.

  • MARCUS HALE — Senior Advisor

    Marcus joined Seaforth with over 20 years of global real estate development experience. He mastered his trade at some of the most highly respected companies in the industry, including at PATRIZIA, Tishman Speyer, CBRE, and U.S. Equities Realty. He has worked across four continents delivering value-add and development projects including office, retail, residential, hotel, healthcare, education, and cultural uses.

    Marcus has been a long-standing and active member of ULI. He has served on the UK and European Executive Committees, was a Founding Member of the ULI NEXT Global Leadership Initiative, sat on the steering group that brought the award-winning UrbanPlan UK to local schools, and was a recipient of the Urban Land 40-Under-40 award in 2016. He graduated with an MEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, earned an MBA in Real Estate Finance and Investment from DePaul University, and is qualified as a Chartered Engineer.

  • CHRIS RAILSTON-BROWN — Director of Development

    Chris joined Seaforth as Director of Development in December 2020. He is a Chartered Construction Manager and has over 10 years of experience across residential, hospitality, commercial office, retail, and infrastructure sectors. Chris started off his career working in the Major Projects delivery sector at Mace Group where he focused on the delivery of two prime residential projects, Three Quays and Chilton Place. Following this Chris transitioned into Development Management and joined Taylor Wimpey Central London where he was responsible for the delivery of high-end residential projects in Zone 1. More recently Chris worked for Platform assisting clients with the delivery of complex development projects. His main focus at Platform was working with Northwood Investors on the feasibility, acquisition and development of their Central London assets, in particular on the redevelopment and refurbishment of 90 Long Acre in Covent Garden.

    Chris has a BSc (Hons) in Project Management for Construction, a MSc in Construction Management from the University of Brighton, and has completed an 18-month executive training programme at Imperial College London.

  • JON ALLGOOD — Head of Asset Management

    Jon joined Seaforth in 2022 as Head of Asset Management after 20+ years at The Crown Estate where, as Senior Asset Manager, he was responsible for the office element of their 10m sqft. Central London Portfolio. He has extensive experience in commercial design development and leasing including major projects such as The Marq, St James’s Market, The New Burlingtons & 20 Air Street.

    He is an industry expert in the future of the office, new ways of working and improving end user experience within real estate. This led to him driving The Crown Estate’s move into cowork and flex leasing products such as 1 Heddon Street. He is also passionate about sustainability and lessening our negative impact on the environment both personally and corporately.

    Jon is a board member of the British Council for Offices, alumnus of the Real Innovation Academy, has PgDip in real estate valuation & Law from Bayes Business School, and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

  • FARRAH LABORDE — Operations Manager

    Farrah joined Seaforth in 2018, her primary responsibilities are to ensure the smooth operation of the Seaforth business which includes looking after the wellbeing of its team and ensuing quality management. In addition she takes a lead in HR and ESG matters.

    Prior to Seaforth Farrah worked for Office Concierge, London’s Leading Reception Management company where she was the Business Support Manager and worked her way up the ladder to managing multiple London locations including the oversight of serviced office receptions, operations, and contract negotiations.

    Farrah brings with her 9 years of experience in corporate hospitality having been responsible for managing multiple London office locations.

  • TEO HAO YUN — VP Investments

    Teo sits on the acquisitions team and is responsible for the origination, analysis, and execution of new transactions. Teo joined Seaforth in 2017 as an analyst responsible for research and investments and has since graduated to associate and senior associate through his development of deep market knowledge and execution experience.

    Prior to Seaforth, Teo was involved in both consultancy roles and valuation roles in Asia. He was a Consulting and Research Executive in DTZ Malaysia, providing consultancy services to a multitude of development and refurbishment projects. His experience ranges from advising on large-scale townships to the development of skyscrapers across different use classes in Malaysia.

    Teo earned his Master’s Degree in Real Estate Finance with Distinction from University of Reading. He was also awarded Dean’s Excellence award within the Real Estate & Planning School.

    Teo Hao Yun - VP Investments
